Sr. Mary Catherine Endowment Fund
This endowment was established upon the retirement of Sr. Mary Catherine, who served as Principal of St. Louis School for over 20 years. The purpose of the fund is to provide tuition assistance to families whose children attend St. Louis School. Each gift made to this fund before December 31, 2017 is eligible for a 50% match from the Archdiocese of Baltimore which will be added to the fund in addition to the gift. Currently we do not distribute funds from this endowment with the intention to grow the corpus over time to benefit future students and families in need.
The Thomas Merton Scholarship Fund
The Thomas Merton Scholarship Fund was created through an anonymous donation to St. Louis School for the purpose of providing an annual partial scholarship to St. Louis School students in need of financial assistance. The endowment fund was named after Thomas Merton (January 31, 1915 – December 10, 1968) an American Catholic priest, writer, Trappist monk of the Abbey of Gethsemani, Kentucky, and a social activist.
Each gift made to this fund before December 31, 2017 is eligible for a 50% match from the Archdiocese of Baltimore which will be added to the fund in addition to the gift.
