Einstein Narwhals take First Place for Robot Strategies!

Seventy-two FIRST LEGO League teams competed in the Maryland State Championship competition recently held at UMBC.  Not only did our Einstein Narwhals team compete for the  MD Championships, but they also earned a coveted spot to compete for the MD Global Innovation award on the same day.   Capping months of preparation, the students’ hard work, commitment and passion paid-off and their efforts were recognized with the coveted bright yellow LEGO trophy. The Einstein Narwhals won First Place for Robot Strategies and Innovation and have even filed for a provisional patent for their design!  We could not be more proud of this dedicated and fun group. They are off to Detroit for the World Championship!

Help send our Narwhals to Detroit!

We would like to recognize and thank the coaches who gave their time and expertise to guide the teams: Anne Reed, Jenn Sleeman, Luke Franks, Astrid Connors and Michael Blackwood. WAY TO GO KNIGHTS!  For more information on the Narwhals Lego League adventure, please click here!
