The Seed Fund
Back in 2003 and 2005, when construction of our magnificent new church was underway, a group of dedicated and enthusiastic parents and friends of St. Louis took the lead to start a “seed” fund for the final phase of our parish Master Plan -- construction of a new gymnasium. Through their efforts, they planned and organized two tremendous fundraising events: the St. Louis Parish “Hollywood Night” and the St. Louis Parish “Building Our Future”. The events were a tremendous success. Not only did hundreds of people come out in support of the cause, but many corporations, businesses and individual donors contributed through advertising and donations.
The proceeds of the two nights have been held in a restricted account, earning interest, until such time as they will be turned over by the school board for the building of the gym. Currently, the “seed” fund amounts to $243,433.41.
We would like to take this opportunity to THANK the individuals responsible for these events for having the vision and dedication to foresee the day that we would realize our dream!
